Matthew Legg is a Visiting Professor of Practice for the Master of Science in HR Management program within the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University, where he also serves as an executive advisor to the MS-HRM for Professionals program. Previously, he served as an Adjunct Professor at the Dunham College of Business at Houston Christian University. He is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Par Pacific Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded, growth-oriented energy company based in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining Par Pacific, Mr. Legg served as Vice President of Human Resources for Emerald Performance Materials, a private equity held global chemical manufacturer based in Vancouver, Washington. Previously, he worked in a variety of field and corporate HR leadership roles with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Ensco plc, and Chevron Corporation in Texas, California, Nigeria, and the United Kingdom.
Mr. Legg holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from University of Southern California, a Master of Business Administration from University of Houston-Clear Lake, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Texas A&M University. In addition, he holds a variety of professional certifications in the field of human resources including Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), and Labor Relations Professional.
