Biography

Toshinori (Toshi) Fukui is a doctorate student in Finance at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University. Toshi received B.S. in Management – Finance and B.A. in Economics from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah in December 2014. After the education at BYU, Toshi studied at University of Houston and received M.S. in Finance in 2018.

His primary interests are in corporate finance, specifically operating leverage, capital structure, corporate governance and corporate social responsibility. His first study, “Determinants of Capital Structure: An Expanded Assessment” with Todd Mitton at Brigham Young University and Robert Schonlao at Colorado State University is accepted by the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis (Forthcoming).
