Biography
Todd Stech is a Lecturer in the Department of Information and Operations Management at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University. He teaches Technology Enabled Business Transformation Utilizing Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Todd is currently a Senior Partner and Vice President with IBM Global Business Services. He also serves as IBM’s Senior Executive in Houston.
Todd leads a consulting practice serving clients in the insurance industry in the United States. During the past 23 years with IBM, he has held multiple leadership and executive positions in both sales and consulting. He is a Certified IBM Professional in the area of Business Transformation and has worked in multiple industries assisting clients implement major organizational and process changes through the application of technology. In addition to expertise in insurance, Todd has worked extensively in other industries including banking, utilities, telecommunications, energy and healthcare.
In his role as Senior Executive for IBM in Houston, Todd represents IBM’s 5 offices and over 1000 employees throughout southeast Texas, working with business leaders and local, state, and national officials on issues that impact the greater Houston metropolitan area.
Prior to joining IBM, Todd worked in the group insurance industry, including five years at MetLife. While at MetLife, he served the Texas A&M University System as his client, providing the health and life insurance benefits for System employees and retirees.
Todd is a graduate of the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, class of 1988. In addition, he earned an MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.
He currently resides in Houston with his wife Kim (’88) and his two daughters, Caroline (’20) and Olivia (‘24).
