Blake Pounds serves as Accenture's Houston Office Managing Director where he leads more than 2,000 professionals and oversees developing local business relationships, expanding civic presence and fostering employee engagement.
Blake has extensive experience in the energy, utilities and financial services industries and has a good understanding of the strategic issues faced by these industries. During his career, he has led strategic projects, large-scale transformation and systems integration projects. He has developed business strategy, developed and managed business cases, performed business assessments and benchmarking, designed business processes, defined operating models and implemented enabling technology. He has a keen interest in digital technology innovation and its disruption of longstanding business models.
In addition to his responsibilities at Accenture, Blake serves on the boards of the United Way of Greater Houston and the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The United Way of Greater Houston is committed to transforming individual lives and bringing long-lasting, systemic change to tough issues, like family financial stability and academic success. The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is dedicated to the cultural enrichment of the local community in The Woodlands.
Blake has an MBA in International Business from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University.
