Universal ID Number (UIN)

•A Universal Identification Number (UIN) is assigned by Texas A&M to applicants, employees and affiliates. It is used in place of Social Security numbers to identify permanent records.

•Staff and faculty receive their UIN through their hiring department when the staff record is created in BPP. The UIN is used to claim a NetID for staff and faculty, along with being the username for the System’s SSO/HRConnect sites.

• Your UIN can be found on the bottom right of your Texas A&M ID card.

• The UIN also is used to log in to services such as HRConnect and TrainTraq using the Single Sign On system. This service is provided by the A&M System’s Business Computing Services. If you have questions, contact your unit HR representative.
