MBA Programs COVID-19 Updates

We recognize that the admissions process is challenging and has been made more complicated due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This information will update you on changes made in an effort to ensure both you and our team remain safe and healthy.

Please review the information below. As new information becomes available, this page will be updated and communication will be sent via email (if you’re not already on our mailing list, you can register here). If at any time you have questions that have not been addressed, please reach out to us.

All Applicants

We are waiving the application fee for ALL candidates who complete an application for the Fall 2020 entry term. Once you start an application, we will add the fee waiver. If you have any questions, please contact mbaprograms@mays.tamu.edu.

Based on recommendations from the CDC and local agencies, all in-person events are canceled until further notice. All MBA Programs team members are working from home, but you can reach us via email. University updates are found on Texas A&M University’s COVID-19 webpage.

Our team remains ready to assist you as you move forward through the admissions process:

  • You can chat live with a member of our team through our program websites from 8:00am to 5:00pm CDT Monday through Friday.
  • We have converted all upcoming events to virtual formats (via Zoom). As new events are scheduled, they will be added to our event pages below.
  • We are also available to set up advising sessions via phone or Zoom and we welcome your questions via email (contacts listed below).
  • We invite you to explore our online resources (see below) to continue learning more about our programs and Mays Business School.

Full-Time MBA Program

If you have already applied and have not yet received a final decision:
Our admissions team continues to process and review applications and extend interview invitations. All those invited to interview will be able to schedule a virtual appointment with a member of our team. Decisions will be released on a rolling basis as these steps are completed.

If you plan to submit an application:
The Admissions Committee will consider GMAT/GRE waivers for Fall 2020 applicants due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To request consideration, please send a current copy of your resume and a copy of your undergraduate transcript to Patti Cudney (pcudney@mays.tamu.edu).

Candidates are able to register to take the GRE online; you can learn more about this process here. You can also register to take the GMAT online; you can learn more about this process here. If you live in an area where testing sites are closed due to the pandemic and you do not yet have access to an online testing option, we encourage you to complete and submit your application using the following instructions:

  • If you do not have a current score, submit the online application with all other materials. You will be able to enter any future date for your test in order to submit the online application. Please use the optional third essay to provide the admissions team with as much context as possible about your situation. We will proceed with an initial review of your file and will extend interview invitations as applicable. Our admissions team will continue to monitor the availability of testing and communicate with you about any possible changes to the admissions process. You can also contact mbaprograms@mays.tamu.edu at any time for assistance.
  • If you have a current score, but want to retest, you should submit your application with your current test score. In the optional third essay, please explain that you are planning to retest when possible.

Professional MBA and Executive MBA Programs 

The final application deadline for Fall 2020 entry is May 27, 2020. We encourage you to submit your application at any time prior to the final deadline. We will evaluate applications and release decisions as quickly as possible on a rolling basis.

All admissions interviews will be conducted virtually. After you submit your application, the admissions team will conduct initial review and extend interview invitations. We will do everything we can to accommodate scheduling requests.  

Professional MBA Applicants

If you are applying to the Professional MBA program and you do not have a current GMAT or GRE score, you can request a waiver through the process outlined here. Advising appointments and decision on waiver requests will be completed as soon as possible.
