Dr. Lisa Scheer

Lisa K. Scheer is the Emma S. Hibbs Distinguished Professor and marketing doctoral program coordinator at the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business. She also is a Professor of Strategic Business-to-Business Management at the University of Graz (Austria). Since growing up in a family trucking business, Lisa Scheer has been formulating and studying marketing strategy. She received her Ph.D. from Northwestern University and MBA and BSBA degrees from Mizzou.


Dr. Scheer’s rigorous and relevant research on strategy and marketing relationships is published in Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and other highly-ranked journals. Dr. Scheer serves as area editor or editorial/advisory board member for the prominent US and international journals.

Dr. Scheer developed, organized, and chaired the inaugural Marketing Strategy Consortium and has also chaired prominent conferences/consortia for the American Marketing Association (AMA). She has been Director of several biennial Ph.D. Research Camps for the Institute for the Study of Business Markets (ISBM) and previously served on AMA’s Academic Council and ISBM’s B2B Leadership Board.
