Jennifer has been passionate about education since her early school days. Her first job as a trainer at a grocery store sparked her interest in instructional design and learning technologies. After entering the workforce full-time directly after graduation, Jennifer pursued higher education in an online, accelerated format, earning both her BAAS and MS degrees from the University of North Texas. Her ambition to complete a doctoral program led her to receive a doctoral certificate as an Education Specialist in instructional design, with the goal of returning to complete her dissertation.
Jennifer joins Texas A&M with a diverse background in higher education, having worked with both traditional and online universities. She served as the sole instructional designer at the University of Texas at Tyler, where she guided the institution through the transition to emergency online learning during COVID-19. Most recently, she was a senior instructional designer at Western Governors University, focusing on competency-based education. Jennifer is dedicated to supporting non-traditional students through flexible online course delivery, emphasizing engaging, interactive, and accessible content for all learners.
