Asset Pricing

Asset Pricing studies how financial markets determine the value and expected returns of assets. Research in this area examines risk-return tradeoffs, market efficiency, behavioral factors, market microstructure, and the role of macroeconomic forces, using both theoretical models and empirical methods applied to equities, bonds, and other securities.

Corporate Finance

Corporate Finance focuses on firms’ financial decisions, including investment, financing, and payout policies. Research explores capital structure, governance, mergers and acquisitions, innovation, and interactions with financial markets, with an emphasis on how these decisions affect firm value and economic outcomes.

Financial Intermediation

Financial Intermediation examines the role of institutions such as banks, mutual funds, and other intermediaries in allocating capital. Research studies how these entities manage risk, provide liquidity, transmit monetary policy, and influence financial stability and market functioning.

Investments

Investments research analyzes how individuals and institutions allocate capital across assets. Topics include portfolio choice, asset management, trading strategies, and performance evaluation, with attention to both rational decision-making and behavioral biases in financial markets.
