Curriculum

The 22-month Professional MBA program, which is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), offers the following features:

  • Core curriculum: Students take 39 of their 45 credit hours in foundational business courses. This targeted approach ensures that students gain the necessary knowledge to confidently lead an organization. This coursework covers leadership, management, finance, economics, accounting, marketing, communications, strategy, operations and international business policy.
  • Customization options: Professional MBA students can customize their graduate studies through taking six credit hours of electives as part of their coursework. Electives are offered during the summer semester of the student’s first year and the spring semester of the second year. Elective courses include entrepreneurship, services marketing, digital marketing strategy and energy markets/energy finance.
  • Engaging busy professionals: The curriculum’s structure of weekend coursework is designed to meet the needs of working professionals. Our professors engage students in a three-way dialogue, thus challenging students to learn from their peers, their professors as well as themselves. This intellectually stimulating approach ensures that students build on their own experiences while also learning innovative approaches from their peers and professors.
