Thomas Garcia
Tommy Garcia serves as Assistant Director and Career Coach for the Master of Science in Finance (MSF) Program at Texas A&M’s Mays Business School. Having walked the same path as current MSF students, earning his MSF in 2022, Tommy is committed to guiding students as they build professional skills and explore their career options.
Tommy earned his bachelor’s degree in Physics from Texas A&M University in 2021 before completing the MSF program in 2022. His professional experience includes an internship as an Operations Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs, as well as participation in Texas Instruments’ Operations and Finance Rotation Program. There, he gained experience across finance, operations, and accounting, and contributed to launching the Central Accounting team, improving processes through advanced use of Excel, coding, and AI.
Tommy is excited to support the Adam C. Sinn ’00 Department of Finance and the MSF Program, and looks forward to working with the talented students and faculty at Mays Business School.

Valeria Ortegon
Valeria Ortegon serves as a PPA Program Manager for the James Benjamin Department of Accounting. Before returning to Mays Business School, Valeria worked as an Undergraduate Advising Coordinator at the School of Public Health. She earned her BBA in Management Information System in 2018 from Texas A&M University. In addition to working at the School of Public Health, Valeria served as a finance undergraduate advisor.
Abigail Johnson
Abigail serves as an undergraduate advisor at Mays Business School.
She earned her Associate of Science in Agriculture from Blinn College before completing her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Leadership and Development, with minors in Recreation Management and Tourism Management.
She is a 3rd generation Aggie, born and raised here in Aggieland. Throughout her college career, she successfully maintained and expanded her small business while pursuing her degree. This gave firsthand insight into the challenges of balancing work, entrepreneurship, and academics.
Abigail is passionate about helping students feel supported and understood as they navigate their academic and professional careers. Her goal is to foster an environment of open communication, encouragement, and empowering students to achieve success inside and out of the classroom.
Megan Arnold
Ellen Crawford
Ellen serves as an undergraduate academic advisor at Mays Business School, primarily working with freshman and sophomore students.
Prior to coming to Mays, Ellen was a school counselor and teacher in K-12 public education.
Ellen strives to support and empower students to discover their own answers and forge their own paths to success.
Kelli Edgell
Kelli serves as an undergraduate advisor at Mays Business School.
Prior to joining Mays, she served as a Testing Center Coordinator for the Disability Resources Testing Center at Texas A&M. Before transitioning to higher education, Kelli spent 30 years in K-12, serving in a variety of roles including teacher and assistant principal.
Originally from Florida, Kelli earned her degrees from the University of Florida, including a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration.
Kelli believes every student can achieve success when provided with the appropriate support and resources.

As Program Coordinator for the Office of the Dean at Mays Business School, I am passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive experience for students and their families as they begin their journey to Aggieland. Over the past two years at Texas A&M University, I have enjoyed serving both the regional and campus community through student support, engagement, and program coordination. I am dedicated to helping students feel connected, encouraged, and prepared for success from their very first steps at Texas A&M.
