Biography
C.J. Shields is a professional educator with over two decades of experience in K-12, higher education, and the private sector. Originally from Indiana, C.J. spent 20 years in the classroom teaching middle and high school STEM classes as well as undergraduate engineering technology courses. Later he served as the technology integration specialist for a school district and led Canvas training sessions for Instructure. Since relocating to Texas, C.J. has had several roles supporting Canvas at Texas A&M. Most recently, he managed the Texas A&M Canvas support team. Process improvement, organizational change, knowledge management, artificial intelligence, and creativity are his workplace interests.
C.J. and his wife Tiffany have been married for nine years. They have an eight-year-old daughter. The family enjoys travelling, camping, hiking, biking, and attending sporting events.
