Biography
Farshid Abdi has been an Assistant Professor of Finance at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, since 2023. His research is in the area of Asset Pricing, with applications in Liquidity, MacroFinance, and Fintech. His work has been published in the Review of Financial Studies, one of the leading journals in Finance, and his research has been cited over 400 times. He has presented his work at top conferences, including the American Finance Association Annual Meeting.
Professor Abdi holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and an M.Sc. degree in Financial Engineering from the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL). He has also been a Visiting Scholar at NYU Stern School of Business.
