Kourtney R. Gruner

Dr. Kourtney Gruner is the Director of Graduate Program Operations at Mays Business School. In this role, she implements and operationalizes strategy across the school’s MBA portfolio, specialized master’s programs, and the Graduate Career Management Center. Prior to this position, Kourtney served as Director of the MS Marketing Program at Mays Business School and, before that, as Assistant Director of the Master of Industrial Distribution (MID) program in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University.

Kourtney brings 17+ years of higher education experience in program administration, recruitment and outreach, learning and course development, student services, program assessment, and faculty development to her role. She earned her Ph.D. in Higher Educational Administration from Texas A&M University in December 2025, with a research emphasis in faculty development, online education, and Professors of Practice. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation, park, and tourism sciences and a master’s degree in student affairs administration in higher education, both from Texas A&M University.
