Biography

Kris Morley is a Senior Lecturer at Mays Business School. A native of Pennsylvania, Kris grew up near Pittsburgh and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science degree in Educational Human Resource Development from Texas A&M. Kris completed ROTC as an undergraduate and joined the US Army as a Quartermaster Officer. She served for five years in Germany, working in the areas of logistics and human resources. She attained the rank of Captain and left the service in 1984 to focus on her family. As a military spouse, she was an active community volunteer. While living in Germany, Colorado, Kansas, and Pennsylvania, she served on the boards of several family and spouse support organizations, plus USA Girl Scouts Overseas.

In 1995, Kris and her family returned to the states and settled in New Braunfels, Texas. She returned to the workforce as the Director of Volunteers for VNA and Hospice in San Antonio, a not-for-profit healthcare agency. In 2000, she and her family moved to College Station. She began her career with Texas A&M as the Assistant Director for the Business Fellows Program, and in 2001 became the Director of Business Honors. She has two adult children, Megan and Sean, and two adorable grandchildren. During the summers of 2014, 2016, and 2018, Kris walked the Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile pilgrimage route across northern Spain, an accomplishment she is proud of and a journey she encourages others to undertake.
