Rochelle Read

Rochelle Read serves as Assistant Director for both the Full-Time MS in Human Resource Management (MS HRM) program and the Center for Human Resource Management (CHRM) at Mays Business School. In this dual role, she leads recruitment and admissions while uniting industry executives, researchers, and students to advance the future of HR education, research, and practice.

With over 25 years of higher education experience, Rochelle is deeply committed to student mentorship and building strong professional talent pipelines. She is currently expanding her HR expertise by pursuing her Master of Science in Human Resource Management through Texas A&M’s Flex Online program (expected graduation: August 2027).

Prior to joining Mays, Rochelle was an academic advisor in the Department of Economics within the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M. Her career also includes supporting students with disabilities at Pepperdine University and Tarrant County College. Earlier at Texas A&M, she served in the International Programs Office as Assistant to the Assistant Provost and later in the Qatar Support Office, coordinating logistics, visas, and protocol for university leaders and dignitaries during the establishment of Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ).

Beyond her administrative duties, Rochelle actively invests in campus and community life. She serves as staff advisor for the Texas A&M Student Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), on-campus advisor for Alpha Delta Pi, a first-year seminar instructor, and a volunteer with the Central Texas Ronald McDonald House. Her leadership includes past service as secretary and parliamentarian for the University Advisors and Counselors (UAC) organization.

A proud first-generation college graduate, Rochelle earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University. Her dedication to student service has earned her the Texas A&M International Programs Star Staff Award (2005) and the College of Liberal Arts Superior Service (CLASS) Award (2021).
