Biography

Rochelle Read serves as the Program Manager of the Full Time MS program in Human Resource Management (MS HRM) at Mays Business School. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management through the flex online program, with an expected graduation date of August 2027. With over 23 years of experience in academia, Rochelle has a passion for creating and fostering meaningful relationships with students to help them succeed academically and translate that success into their personal and professional advancement. Her role encompasses the management of recruiting and admissions for the Full Time MS HRM program, among many other responsibilities.

Before joining Mays Business School, Rochelle served as an academic advisor for the Department of Economics in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M. Prior to rejoining Texas A&M in 2016, she supported students with disabilities at both Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, and Tarrant County College in Arlington, TX. Her first role after graduating from Texas A&M was in TAMU’s International Programs Office (IPO) as Assistant to the Assistant Provost. She then transitioned to the Qatar Support Office (QSO), where she coordinated logistics, visas, and all travel arrangements for faculty, staff, university administration, and dignitaries involved in establishing the Texas A&M University at Qatar campus (TAMUQ).

Rochelle serves as the staff advisor for the TAMU Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, the on-campus advisor for her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, is a first-year seminar instructor, and volunteers with the Central Texas Ronald McDonald House. She previously served as secretary and then parliamentarian for TAMU’s University Advisors and Counselors (UAC) organization. She is a recipient of the Texas A&M International Programs Star Staff Award (2005) and the College of Liberal Arts Superior Service (CLASS) Award (2021). She is a member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).

A first-generation college student, Rochelle earned her BA in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University.
