Business Idea Exploration: Often students join the program with the intention to launch a new venture. While in the program, students may begin to develop an idea they want to validate. The MS-ENLD program offers a unique opportunity for students to work closely with a faculty member while earning directed studies (MGMT 685) credit to engage in business plan development, market research, and/or idea validation. Students are required to seek out faculty permission and will work with the faculty member and the MS-ENLD team to set up their directed studies course.
-
Global Study: Many MS-ENLD students fulfill one or more elective requirements through enrolling in a Mays faculty-led or reciprocal exchange program through the Mays Center for International Business Studies. Students joining a faculty-led program often earn credit for IBUS 685. Students participating in an exchange would work with the MS-ENLD program team to outline their ideal path of study while abroad.
-
Internships: As an enrolled MS-ENLD student, students will have access to the Mays Career Management Center to help polish their professional skills, make connections for post-graduate employment, and potentially develop internships. Students with an interest in completing an internship may be able to enroll in MGMT 684 to earn course credit while developing their professional skills in the workplace. Students will work with the MS-ENLD team to enroll in MGMT 684.
Note: Individual course requirements are subject to change; students who have received credit for undergraduate versions of a course may not be eligible to apply them to their degree plan in the MS-ENLD program.
