Freshman Business Initiative
The Freshman Business Initiative (FBI) is a learning community that helps freshmen successfully transition to college and Mays Business School, while developing writing, critical thinking, and business skills. The FBI also comprises of a leadership development program, called the FBI Peer Leader Program, in which upper-level Mays students mentor freshmen taking BUSN 101 as peer leaders.

Program Benefits
The FBI Peer Leader portion of the FBI program gives upper-level Mays students the opportunity to put into practice many of the core business competencies that they learn about in BUSN 101 itself as well as other business courses.
Peer Leaders refine competencies such as communication, critical thinking, leadership, working with others, ethical decision-making, and management of people and projects. Additionally, Peer Leaders work closely with BUSN 101 faculty to refine many teaching skills which are transferable to the workplace making them an asset to their future colleagues and employers.
