In this role, he oversees the work of Instructional Designers and partners with the Director of Learning Design to manage the learning design team.
He joined Mays Business School in January 2024 as an Instructional Designer supporting the Flex Online program, collaborating with faculty to assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate courses. In August of 2025, he was hired as the Assistant Director of Learning Design.
Before coming to Mays, Jared earned both his B.A. and M.A.T. from Northern Arizona University (2008) and built a career as an educator—first as a full-time Spanish instructor at a community college for ten years, then as an instructional designer for five years.
