Retailing Competition: Spring 2025

The Center for Retailing Studies is excited to host our Spring Retailing Competition presented by 7-Eleven. Gain experience and showcase your creative, analytical, and collaboration skills while solving a real-world retail challenge. Students will receive a prompt from our presenting company, 7-Eleven, at our kickoff event and you’ll work with your team to develop innovative solutions, presenting your findings to a panel of retail professionals.

How The Competition Works

Students can register individually and be assigned a team, or they can indicate their pre-selected team members upon registration. Team size can range from three to four individuals. Regardless of team status, every team member must register individually.

At the kickoff event, teams will receive the retailing challenge prompt for the competition from 7-Eleven. Over the following weeks, you’ll gather and analyze data, develop innovative ideas, and prepare your presentation. Teams will have an opportunity to meet with an advisor to refine their strategy.

On the final day, you’ll present your ideas to a panel of judges from 7-Eleven, competing against other teams. The judges will select the winners later that day, with prizes and recognition to be awarded.

For students pursuing a Professional Distinction in Retailing, full participation in this competition will provide 100 points in the experience category and winners will receive an additional 25 points.

Registration deadline: Monday, Feb. 24, 2025
