This unique opportunity is designed for students and industry professionals to engage in a dynamic speed networking session followed by a relaxed social reception.

The Retailing Industry Speed Networking and Reception Event offers a structured yet casual environment where students and professionals can connect and explore potential career opportunities. The event begins with an hour of speed networking, allowing students to deliver their elevator pitches and exchange resumes with recruiters. This is followed by a social reception with heavy appetizers, providing a chance for deeper conversations and relationship building.
  • Tuesday, September 23, 6 – 8 p.m.
  • Texas A&M Hotel & Conference Center in the Block T Lounge
  • Speed networking with company representatives followed by a relaxed reception in the Block T Lounge
  • Students will rotate in groups of four to five, practicing brief introductions and sharing personal business cards (resumes are OK, too, if requested).

Company Information

Companies are invited to participate in the Retailing Industry Speed Networking and Reception Event, where they will have the opportunity to meet and recruit top talent from Texas A&M University interested in retailing.  Each company will sit at a large table (2 company representative) with students where they can engage with students in a structured speed networking format. Students will rotate during the first hour and during the second hour, we’ll transition to more relaxed conversations and appetizer.  Due to limited space, companies are encouraged to bring minimal recruiting materials as it is a networking event.
  • Table Setup: Round tables for up to two representatives (and students)
  • Materials: Minimal recruiting materials due to space limitations
