Student Employment Opportunities

The Department of Accounting has a limited number of opportunities for student employment. Open positions are posted through our accounting department listservs.  To apply for an open student worker position, please submit an application. Be sure to attach a resume to the file upload field in the application. Most positions require continued employment for more than one semester, including summer work.

Job positions are available to undergraduate and graduate students alike. Many student workers are assigned to a faculty member to assist them with grading, research, eCampus, or tutoring other students at the departmental help desks. If you are hired to work at a departmental help desk, you will have to have taken the course you will be tutoring.

During each semester, the department will also have a limited number of exam proctor positions available. Information in regard to these positions will be posted to the accounting department listservs.

The following information refers to all student positions.

Starting pay:

  • Undergraduate: $7.25 per hour
  • Graduate: $8.08 per hour

If hired:

  • Appropriate original identification documents will be needed to complete an Employment Eligibility Form (e.g. driver’s license, birth certificate, current passport, non-laminated social security card, and if you are an international student, you will need your passport, I-20 form and I-94 form).
  • Current banking information will be needed to enroll in Direct Deposit.
  • All employees will take mandatory online training. This information will be emailed once a date to start working has be established. This training must be taken within 30 days of your start date. Failure to complete this training could result in lose of work time until the training has been completed.
