Supply Chain Consortium
The Texas A&M Supply Chain Consortium provides support to students, faculty and companies that are involved in supply chain management. Our consortium offers a number of unique features and benefits:

Mission Statement
The Consortium’s mission is twofold:

Access To Top Student Talent
Our corporate partners enjoy special opportunities to interact with our supply chain students at a range of recruiting events. We also host lunch and dinner events for each of our corporate partners where they have a chance to mix and mingle with students. Corporate partners also have the chance to make presentations to students in classroom settings, promote their companies on campus through other channels and receive advance notice of student résumé books.
Ability To Help Shape Curriculum
We recognize that we cannot address all aspects of the supply chain discipline in our undergraduate program. So we consult our corporate partners about the strategic direction of our curriculum as well as specific classes, course content, full-length case studies and mini-cases. In this way, our corporate partners help us ensure that our students have relevant knowledge when they enter the workforce.
Networking With Supply Chain Industry Leaders
Our corporate partners have the chance to network with other supply chain executives and scholars through meetings, social gatherings and recruiting events. Many of these events are held at locations convenient to our consortium members.

As we gain a deeper understanding of each of our corporate partners, we will have the opportunity to develop customized executive education seminars to meet their unique business needs. Mays business school’s supply chain faculty is ranked 8th internationally in terms of publications in top journals, including Production and Operations Management and Journal of Operations Management. Our professors focus their research efforts on solving real-world problems with practical business application. Student Organizations
ASCP is an organization of students and professionals at Texas A&M University who are interested in improving their supply chain management and networking skills. Our aim is to increase the understanding and development of supply chain management concepts and practices and promote the growth of the Supply Chain Management major at Mays Business School. We provide a continuing program of formal activities, research, and informal discussions designed to develop the theory and understanding of the supply chain management process, promote the art and science of managing supply chain systems, and foster professional dialogue and development about the profession.
Events
Networking Career Event
Our Networking Career Event is similar to a Career Fair, albeit just for supply chain management students. We will have a ballroom and draped tables setup. You may bring your promotional material. Companies typically have anywhere from 2 to 6 individuals representing the company. We will have a nice buffet dinner for all participants (companies and students). There is one Networking Career Event in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
Mock Interview Day
This is another wonderful touch point with our students right before the Career Fair and formal interviews. As a consortium member you have the opportunity to talk to many of our students, especially the younger ones, and provide some valuable feedback to them as they prepare for their job search. This typically occurs on a Friday toward the beginning of both the Fall and Spring semesters.
Corporate Dinners
This offers the opportunity for firms to interact with students in a slightly more formal setting. We encourage students to be in business casual attire. Firms typically have a presentation along with a Q&A session and the opportunity to interact with students and get to know them on a more personal basis. Many of these occur throughout each semester.
Corporate Lunches
This offers the opportunity for firms to interact with students in an informal setting. Students will be coming from (or going to) classes and will stop in to grab a lunch. Then firm representatives can interact with students at tables answering questions and describing what their job in industry is like while everyone enjoys lunch. This is a come-and-go arrangement where students with cycle in and out over the course of a couple of hours. Many of these occur throughout each semester.
Plant & Facility Tours
This offers the students a chance to see some aspect of supply chain management in the real world. Students can see what a career in supply chain management might look like and see how the various operations and supply chain aspects of a business are performed. Firms get the chance to interact with students (typically at an earlier level) and further inspire the next generation of supply chain managers.
