Technical Development Management Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Technical Development Management provides an opportunity for students to become more proficient in the area of technical development management. The focus of the program is understanding the proper ways to plan for, develop, and manage projects and product life cycles. The global IT industry is a $5.2 trillion global industry. Much of that is development of products and management of services. The failure of IT projects in the U.S. alone results in a cost of over $200 billion per year. As such, proper management is imperative to business competitiveness and sustainability. This certificate program will provide the essential knowledge to plan and successfully manage IT projects for success.

Program Overview

Graduate certificates will be earned as part of the MS-MIS online program. The Technical Development Management Certificate will be earned after the completion of the first four courses in the program. This is only available to Flex Online MS-MIS students!

How To Apply

Application Details

Similar to applying to graduate with a degree, a student must also apply to graduate with a certificate.  This is done by submitting a graduation application for the certificate via Howdy.  Certificates are awarded in May, August, and December and will be mailed directly to the student.  There is no fee associated with the awarding of a certificate.

Completing a Certificate

The courses included in certificates are not offered every semester. Students should allow multiple semesters to complete all certificate requirements. Students pursuing a certificate must contact their academic advisor to request to have the certificate added to their curriculum no later than the semester before the certificate requirements will be completed.
