Arun Sen is a Professor and was a Mays Research Fellow (2002-2006) in the Department of Information and Operations Management at Texas A&M University. Prior to joining Texas A&M, he was an Assistant and an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Science, University of South Carolina. He has published in several journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Communications of the ACM (CACM), Decision Sciences, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions of Software Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Information Systems, Intl. Journal of Man-Machine Studies, EJOR, Computers and OR, Decision Support Systems, Journal of MIS, Omega, Journal of Bio-Medical Informatics (JBI) and others. His research interests include decision support systems, model formulation tools, database management, case repository management, software reuse, case based reasoning, case base management systems, reusable software library design, expert systems and knowledge based systems, data warehousing, web analytics, web mining, data warehouse, clinical decision support systems, Health Information Exchange (HIE), Primary Care Medical Home (PCMH), Care Coordination, Care Delivery, and Care Management. He served as an Associate Editor of Journal of Database Management, and as a special issue editor for Decision Support Systems, Expert Systems with Applications, Information Systems and Communications of the ACM.
He also served as a chair of INFORMS College on Information Systems. He was program chair for the WITS ’96 (Workshop on Information Technology and Systems) Conference and a track chair (Decision Support Systems and AI track) for the 1996 National DSI Conference. He received Business Analysis Research Fellowship, Texas A&M University, 1997-1999 and Mays Research Fellowship, 2002-2006. He has also served in NSF Research Proposal Review panel.
