Biography
Hiroko Sumikura is a Multimedia Production Manager with Texas A&M’s Mays Business School.
A results-driven multimedia producer and visual storyteller, I created over 250 video projects and managed 100+ photo initiatives at Texas A&M’s Mays Business School, serving as lead photographer on many. I nearly doubled the school’s YouTube subscribers, produced assets for the Mays photo/video library, and led the Mays MasterCast podcast and video. Adept at balancing creative vision with resources, I manage all multimedia requests, oversees studio operations, and ensures equipment security and upgrades-including the setup of a 27-foot LED media wall.
I bring global experience, having edited for an Emmy-winning reporter with both American and European broadcasters, and produced hundreds of corporate videos for Fortune 500 companies. I’m highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives on problem-solving and learning new technologies. My background also includes co-organizing TEDxHuntsville as producer and marketing manager, where I helped triple event revenue and attendance.
I hold a master’s degree from Boston University, have interned at media and marketing firms in Hollywood, and have worked extensively in post-production, project management, and creative direction. As a mother of two girls, I am deeply committed to fostering inclusive, purposeful, and innovative storytelling that connects communities and inspires action.
