Biography

Jeff Jones is a seasoned professional with a diverse background spanning military service, youth development, and higher education administration. His journey began in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed discipline, resilience, and leadership, qualities that have shaped his career ever since.
After completing his military service, Jeffrey earned a BAAS in Criminal Justice and History from Stephen F. Austin State University. He began his professional career as a Juvenile Probation Officer before transitioning to the Boy Scouts of America, where he distinguished himself in camping operations, event management, and volunteer training.
In 2012, Jeff joined Mays Business School, where he managed Mays CityCentre in Houston for over a decade. During this time, he also earned his MBA, enhancing his leadership and business acumen.
Jeff later served as the Director of Learning Delivery for Mays Business School’s Flex Online programs. In that role, he oversaw the development and support of synchronous virtual learning experiences, led a team of instructional support professionals, and collaborated closely with faculty to ensure high-quality digital education.
Currently, Jeff serves as the Executive Director of Teaching & Learning Innovation at Mays Business School. He leads strategic efforts to advance digital learning and academic innovation across Flex Online. His broad-based experience and deep commitment to student success make him a vital leader in the evolving landscape of higher education.
