Kerri Vance

Assistant Director

Biography

Kerri joined the Center for International Business Studies team in fall 2021. Her passion for international education started when she moved to Germany to teach English at Berlitz Language School. For over six years, Kerri worked with diverse business clientele in different global industries from small accounting firms to aerospace and defense companies to improve their English language skills for international business needs. She also worked at the University of Saarland and taught English to German and other international students. By engaging students through various topics, she gained a great appreciation for how civil discourse can support intercultural awareness and understanding.

In her previous position, Kerri was the International Programs Coordinator in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences where she provided support to faculty on development and promotion of study abroad programs. She was also involved in a grant that created the first virtual exchange in the college with a partner university in Morocco to discuss solutions to real world international agricultural issues.

Kerri is a proud former student of Texas A&M where she earned her bachelor’s degree in History and was a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. When she’s not working, she travels as often as she can and returns to Germany every year, which she now considers her second home. She also enjoys scuba diving, geocaching, going to the movies, and spending time with her cats, Sam and Lucy.
