Biography

Kristen Lindholm is an accomplished higher education professional dedicated to empowering students on their academic journeys. With extensive experience in academic advising and student support, she plays a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of countless individuals.

Born and raised in Texas, Kristen embodies the spirit of a first-generation college student. Her personal journey through higher education informs her commitment to helping others achieve their goals. In May 2015, Kristen graduated from Texas A&M University, earning her bachelor’s degree. She continued her pursuit of knowledge and completed her Master’s degree in Educational Administration at Sam Houston State University in December 2019.

Before joining Mays Business School, Kristen served as a 911 telecommunicator at the Brazos County 911 District. Her experience in emergency services honed her communication skills and instilled a deep sense of responsibility. As an Academic Success Coach and Recruiter at Coastal Bend College, Kristen guided students through critical transitions, fostering their growth and resilience. At Texas A&M University, she worked as a Scholarship & Financial Aid Advisor, ensuring that students had access to essential resources for their educational journey. Currently, Kristen actively contributes to NACADA Annual Conference Proposal Reader and Evaluator.

Kristen’s passion lies in education. Her practical skills and empathetic approach positively impact students’ lives. As an undergraduate advisor, she excels in active listening and effective communication. Kristen builds strong relationships with students, families, and educational teams. Her advising philosophy centers on helping students realize their full potential. She directs them to available resources, actively listens to their concerns, and supports their unique values and strengths.
