Dr. G. is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the B.S. in Business Administration degree program at Mays Business School. This work included managing the Certificate in Nonprofit and Social Innovation, developing new and innovative service-learning initiatives, and teaching through various formats. He earned his EdD in Learning and Organizational Change from Baylor University, an MS in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University, and a BS in Economics from Texas A&M University. His teaching and research focus on strategic philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, experiential learning, and critical thinking in undergraduate business education.

Since 2016, he has secured over $1.6 million in outside donor funding to educate undergraduate students about philanthropy. The Strategic Philanthropy course allows students to research and evaluate local nonprofits to determine how to distribute $50,000 to $100,000 to them.

In addition to his regular teaching and administrative duties, Dr. G. serves on multiple college and university-level committees and is the Faculty Advisor for 180 Degrees Consulting.

Dr. G. enjoys spending time with his wife, four kids, two poodles, and engaging with the local community through their family’s nonprofit, Borrow Box BCS. He previously served as board chair for The United Way of the Brazos Valley and as a board member for OnRamp. He has also advised Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas and the Baylor Scott & White Central Texas Foundation. Before joining Mays Business School, Dr. G. worked as a nonprofit fundraiser and volunteer coordinator for a local nonprofit in Bryan/College Station.
