Biography
Mia Fayerweather is an Instructional Designer II for the Teaching and Learning Innovation Team at Mays Business School. She holds a B.S. in Animal Science from Texas A&M University and an M.Ed. in Applied Digital Learning from Lamar University.
In her role as an Instructional Designer II, Mia excels at creating engaging and effective learning experiences. She leverages her background in education to design curriculum and instructional materials that meet diverse learner needs. Mia is skilled in utilizing various digital technologies and tools to enhance the learning process, ensuring that content is accessible, interactive, and impactful.
Prior to her current role, Mia spent 17 years in secondary education. During this time, she taught various science subjects, developed innovative teaching strategies, and mentored both students and peer educators. Her commitment to fostering a love for science and critical thinking in her students was evident through her dynamic classroom environment and hands-on learning experiences.
Outside of her professional life, Mia enjoys spending quality time with her family, indulging in her love of reading, and exploring the world of interior design. A lifelong learner at heart, Mia continually seeks out new knowledge and experiences to enhance both her personal and professional growth.
