Program Details

The Master of Financial Management (MFM) is designed to prepare students for leadership roles in finance, providing them with advanced knowledge and practical skills necessary for success in the finance industry.

Curriculum

The MFM is comprised of 36 hours of coursework. Curriculum is dependent on the student’s MFM track and undergraduate major. Students must apply separately to the Commercial Banking Program, Trading, Risk & Investments Program, and Professional Program in Accounting.

Mays undergraduates have the option to “fast track” up to 12 hours of MFM coursework during senior year.

Professional Program In Accounting required courses:

Finance Track

This track is designed to help students develop analytic skills necessary for decision-making roles in today’s complex business environment. Internships usually occur during the spring term of a student’s senior year. Students also take two mini-mester classes during the semester. Graduates are prepared for careers in consulting with CPA firms, corporations or financial institutions.

Students who follow this track will earn a Master of Financial Management.
