Program Details
The MS Analytics program is a 5-semester part-time program that focuses on applying statistical modeling methods to big data and solve business problems. Designed for working professionals, the program is taught face-to-face at Houston CityCentre and live video streaming on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Curriculum
The Master of Science in Analytics degree is offered by the Mays Business School. A student seeking the 36 semester credit hours Master of Science in Analytics degree must fulfill the requirements listed below. One statistics course completed with a C or better is the prerequisite for the degree. Examples of acceptable courses at Texas A&M University include STAT 301, STAT 302 or STAT 303 or INFO 303 or STAT 651 or equivalent.

Prerequisites
Work Experience: We require a minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience or for recent graduates we require a minimum of two internships. Applicants who do not meet the work or internship experience criteria will not be considered for the term they’re applying for.
Strong Academic Background: A competitive undergraduate or graduate GPA strengthens the admissions pre-application.
Competitive GMAT Scores: A GMAT score of top 25%. We can waive the requirement after we perform a comprehensive review of an applicant’s academic background.
Organizational support: We strongly recommend students to seek organizational support from their current employer for access to data and mentorship. We require students to build a predictive model in order to graduate from the program. There are options available for students who can’t get organizational support. Please visit with program staff to find out about options.

Statistics Competency: Applicants must have completed a statistics course with a grade of B or better.
