Hands-On Approach to Learning

The MS Analytics program continually updates curriculum content to teach students the latest trends in the industry. The cornerstone of our program is the work-based capstone project, where students apply their new knowledge to build a predictive model using real datasets. The results include predictions and optimization plans to keep models current. In 2025, the average monetary value of a capstone project was $127.8 million. Students use the capstone project as a portfolio to show potential employers hands-on experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there GRE/GMAT waivers?

GRE/GMAT waivers are available. We encourage applicants to visit with program staff to discuss the standardized waiver process.

Can this program be completed online at my own pace?

The MS Analytics classes are offered online in a real-time livestreamed format. Students can not take this class independently. They are expected to attend classes virtually or in person on Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout the course of the program.

Are there career services offered to students?

We offer extensive career services for our students. Dedicated career coaches are willing to meet with current students to discuss career outcomes, provide interview preparation, and offer support with job searches.

Does the capstone project have to be work related?

Although we would like a student to grow within their company by using a dataset from their employer, we understand that is sometimes difficult to do. Therefore, students are able to bring any dataset of their choosing to use to build a predictive model.

How much is the cost of the program?

The total cost of the program is $70,000. That includes software licenses and textbooks.

*This amount is subject to change and is all-inclusive, including tuition, fees, required software licenses, textbooks, and hotel and meals for the three-day in-person orientation in August. Texas A&M University’s official resource for tuition fees is the tuition calculator.

Can a student extend or expedite their stay in the program?

Students are not able to extend or expedite the program because of its lock step format. Students enrolled must complete the program within the five semesters.

How long is the program?

The MS Analytics program is completed in 17 months. Students begin the program in the fall and complete four consecutive semesters: fall, spring, summer, and the following fall.
