Career Exploration Night
This event occurs once a year in the fall semester. It is required for all Mays freshmen as part of the BUSN 101 (Freshman Business Initiative) course and is attended by approximately 1200 students.
The format of this event is similar to a career fair, with 60+ employer partners joining us on campus to provide information for freshmen. On the same night, students hear from each department in Mays about the different majors available to them.
Benefits for Students
- Learn about Mays majors
- Practice engaging with companies in a low-stakes environment
- Interact with companies from a variety of industries
- Learn about future job and internship opportunities
- Understand how their major connects to their career
Freshman students will learn more about this required event in their BUSN 101 course.
Please note: This event is for freshman Mays students only!
Benefits for Employer Participants
- Get to know Mays freshmen
- Expose the freshmen to your companies for early brand recognition
- Share the types of job opportunities available in your organization with the students
- Collect contact information from interested students, so you can stay engaged with them
- Do all of this at a $0 cost
This year’s event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024 from 6-9 p.m. in the Wehner building.
Companies can register through Oct. 11.
