Biography
Professor Ahmed graduated from the University of Rochester in 1992 with a PhD in Accounting and Finance. He has published multiple papers in top-tier journals including Journal of Accounting & Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, and Contemporary Accounting Research. His research has covered topics in Corporate Governance, International Financial Reporting Standards, Earnings Management, Accounting Conservatism, and Behavioral Finance.
The impact of Professor Ahmed’s research is evidenced by over 9,200 citations on Google Scholar and over 34,000 downloads on SSRN. He has also won several research awards and was appointed as an Endowed Chair holder in Mays Business School in 2013.
