Biography
Bulkeley Banks is an Executive Assistant Professor at Texas A&M’s Mays Business School in College Station, Texas. Previously, Bucky worked as REFM’s Vice President of Financial Modeling and served as an Instructor for REFM.
In his present role, he lectures on real estate development finance, modeling for real estate transactions, and corporate and structured finance among other topics. His focus is on topics surrounding equity investment in real estate development projects, acquisitions, and the associated joint venture partnership structures that are negotiated as part of this process. He is also a faculty representative for the MRE Program’s case competition teams.
In the private sector, his work focused on building financial models for private equity funds, corporations and individuals specializing in acquisitions and real estate development, and teaching REFM’s university and business school course material. Bulkeley built financial models for corporate clients such as Skanska and large private projects such as Washington, DC’s South West Waterfront Project.
In addition to these roles, Bulkeley was an Adjunct Professor at NYU’s Shack Institute of Real Estate and has lectured on topics in real estate finance at Cornell, Wharton, Columbia and Georgetown, among other Universities.
