Biography
Katy Lane, Ph.D. is the director of the Center for International Business Studies, Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. She has worked in international education for nearly 15 years, creating new programs and initiatives, providing oversight for outreach and risk management, and leading programs abroad for students. She also serves on the NAFSA: Association of International Educators Region III leadership team.
Katy received her B.A. in Mathematics, her M.S. in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Sciences, and her Ph.D. in Leadership, Education and Communications from Texas A&M University. As an undergraduate student, her internship with the Panama Canal Authority and language immersion program in Spain sparked her interest in international education. Katy has visited more than 20 countries and enjoys spending time outdoors and watching Aggie sports with her husband, Keith, and their two children.
