Semester Exchanges

Qualifications

• Business major and 3.0 GPA
• Must attend TAMU for at least one full semester after the exchange
• Completion of major foundational coursework prior to the exchange semester:
  • Finance majors – FINC 341, 351 & 361
  • Management majors – MGMT 363
  • Marketing majors – MKTG 321
  • Supply Chain Management majors – SCMT 364
  • Other majors – check with your academic advisor

Funding

• Apply for CIBS Global Programs Scholarship & Texas A&M University-Wide Scholarships
• Submit Education Abroad Cost of Attendance Adjustment Form (provided by CIBS) to Scholarships & Financial Aid for additional scholarships, grants, and loans
• Visit the Education Abroad Funding page for additional funding sources

Courses

• Plan with an academic advisor for degree applicable coursework.
• Look at the criteria to earn a Certificate in International Business.
• Discuss coursework available at Mays exchange partner universities with CIBS.
• Students pay regular TAMU tuition and fees for the term(s) they are abroad.
• Courses taken abroad are converted to transfer credit.

Application Periods

Health & Safety

• Students participating in exchanges are permitted to go as long as the host university has confirmed that it is operational, and with the understanding that they do so at their own risk.
• Any financial loss incurred because of travel or health issues will not be reimbursed by CIBS, Education Abroad, or Texas A&M University.
• Please refer to the TAMU Health & Safety Travel Preparations website to prepare for a healthy and safe international experience
