Biography

Originally from Lewiston, Idaho, P. Simon Mahler is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Management in the Mays School of Business teaching Management Strategy & Entrepreneurship. Simon received his Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Washington State University, his Master’s degree in Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland and is finishing up his Doctoral degree in Leadership and Organizational Change in Education from the University of Southern California.

Simon spent 20 years in entrepreneurship & new venture creation, consulting in varying industries in areas of management, marketing, operations, logistics, product development, sales, and organizational culture. Before building his extensive business career, he honed his leadership and competitive mindset as an assistant coach in both men’s and women’s athletics, primarily baseball and basketball.

Simon’s teaching experiences in higher education include Washington State University, the University of Idaho, Boise State University, the University of Nevada, and various Community Colleges throughout the Pacific Northwest. He teaches a variety of subjects that include Strategy, Small Business Management, Entrepreneurship, New Venture Creation, Business Law, International Business, Marketing, Management, and Customer Acquistion.

Simon is an accomplished and award-winning business mentor, educator and coach. He is driven and dedicated to creating innovative solutions that bridge the gap between academia and industry, designing opportunities that inspire students, revitalize communities, and create lasting economic growth throughout the world.
