ADVISING FOR BBA-MGMT MAJORS

—Standard Advising Availability—

Appointments – For meaningful and productive advising, most advising visits will require preparation by both student and advisor, so scheduling in advance is important.

Available to all MGMT majors and BUAD students who will enter upper level MGMT next semester, as well as upper level Mays students interested in changing to MGMT, these 30-minute meetings are for any reason related to your progress towards graduation and beyond.

Use the NAVIGATE app or NAVIGATE Advising Appointment Scheduler link in Howdy to access the advising calendar 24/7.  Appointment times are available on a rolling 10-day basis, so if you don’t see an available time that fits with your schedule, please check back to see new availability posted each day.

Drop-in visits (483 Wehner) – Available most Mondays 9-11 a.m., these visits are intended for current MGMT majors (and others needing assistance in MGMT) who have a brief question or need.  If it requires an advisor to access your student record or to assist you with an important decision, please plan an appointment.

**Making a special trip? Contact advisor to confirm availability.**

Freshmen and sophomore business students who will continue in lower level business next semester should visit with an advisor in the Undergraduate Advising Office, 238 Wehner, 979.862.3850.

—Week Before & First Week of Semester Advising Availability—

Students will be seen on a drop-in, first come, first served basis Monday through Friday, 8:30-11 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. in 483 Wehner.  Hours may vary.

Non-Management Majors Seeking Advising
Freshmen and sophomore business students who will continue in lower level business courses next semester as well as non-business students at Texas A&M wishing to change their curriculum to business and ultimately major in management should visit with an advisor in the Mays Undergraduate Advising Office, 238 Wehner, 979.862.3850.

Prospective freshmen and transfer students not currently affiliated with Texas A&M are invited to contact an admissions counselor to discuss admission qualifications and plans for attending Texas A&M and Mays Business School. The Office of Admissions, 979.845.1060, will help as you anticipate this journey.

Non-MGMT majors or other students who have questions and believe they might need advising assistance through the management department should email to determine the best source for the information needed.
