The Center for International Business Studies (CIBS) develops future global leaders at Mays Business School through transformative academic, research, and outreach programs on campus and abroad. By constructing global acumen, we empower our students, faculty, alumni, and community to engage and contribute to the rapidly expanding global economy.

The Center for International Business Studies (CIBS) is responsible for internationalizing the business programs at Mays Business School. CIBS offers study, internship, volunteer, and research programs year-round that range in duration from one-week to a full semester and span all seven continents.

Semester Exchange

Study abroad on an exchange program at one of Mays Business School’s partner universities and earn credit while exploring the world. Semester exchange is the most cost-effective way to study abroad and the best way to expand your global network.

Winter Programs

Travel with Mays faculty and a group of Aggies on a 2-week program during the winter break. Earn 3 hours of business credit and learn about global business, culture, and economic environments first-hand.

May and Spring Break Programs

Travel with Mays faculty and a group of Aggies on a 1-2-week program during spring break or May. Earn 3 hours of business credit, experience the world, and develop a global mindset through on-campus lecture and first-hand during the field trip abroad.

Summer Programs

Mays Business School offers a variety of summer faculty-led and exchange program opportunities in a number of locations. Program requirements, length, and application deadlines vary.

Internships

Spend eight weeks gaining real-world experience through an international internship while living, exploring, and traveling with fellow Aggies. Earn IBUS 484 credit and build the skills and international network employers love to see.

Graduate Programs

We offer both semester and summer opportunities to students enrolled in the Mays Business School graduate programs. All the programs listed are offered in English so no foreign language is required.

Certificates

Earn the Certificate in International Business by completing 18 hours of international business and elective coursework and completing an international experience. It’s a smart way to sharpen your global mindset and enhance your value in an international career market.

Funding is available through the CIBS Global Programs Scholarship, Texas A&M University-Wide Scholarships, and external funding sources.

CIBS Advisory Council

The CIBS Advisory Council was created in 1990. The Council has members, including local, state and national business executives, community college administrators and public sector officials and other professionals.

The Center is supported by corporate partners and former students that support students studying abroad. The annual dues paid by our corporate partners partially go towards scholarships to allow students to participate in our program with less of a financial burden.
