National Retail Federation Student Program
2020 NRF Foundation Next Generation Scholarship Award winner: LeAnn Percivill ’20
The National Retail Federation (NRF) is the world’s largest retail trade association, representing discount and department stores, home goods and specialty stores, Main Street merchants, grocers, wholesalers, chain restaurants and internet retailers from the United States and more then 45 countries.
The NRF Foundation Student Program in New York City gives college students a unique opportunity to launch their future in retail. Industry executives in marketing, entrepreneurship, supply chain, technology and more will share their success stories and what they learned along the way. Explore various careers paths in the retail industry, meet with recruiters from your favorite brands and start to achieve the vision for your career.
Including a first place win in 2014, Texas A&M’s team has repeatedly placed at the NRF Student Challenge, a national business-case competition to showcase creativity and business savvy to bring a new product to market for a major retailer. Three rounds of executive judges evaluate each team and award scholarships based on the product’s strategy, financial feasibility and marketing plan.
