Alina Andrei is an Assistant Professor of Management at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University. She earned her Ph.D., cum laude, in Management from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, an M.Sc. from Utrecht University, and a B.Sc. from the British-Romanian University (graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest, SELS).
Her research explores corporate governance and strategic leadership, with a particular interest in family firms, behavioral agency, responsible investment, shareholder voting and activism, socioemotional wealth, and research methodology. Her dissertation work has been published in the Strategic Management Journal and Organization Science.
Before entering academia, Alina held roles in international operations and investigations at two major banks, followed by a position as a data analyst at a global technology company.
