Biography
Boone is an Assistant Professor in the Adam C. Sinn ‘OO Department of Finance at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. His research explores information economics, institutional constraints, anomaly returns, and short-selling. He has published his research in top finance journals, including the Journal of Finance and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.
Boone received his Ph.D in Finance from the University of North Carolina. He earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in economics and finance from Utah State University. He was also a credit analyst for a community bank where he worked closely with small business owners, real estate developers, farmers, and ranchers – with whom he enjoyed discussing cattle and horses.
