Professor Williams is the PWC Professor of Accounting at Texas A&M University. His research interests include intersection of tax and financial accounting, the determinants and consequences of corporate tax planning, and the real effects of financial reporting. His research has been published in leading journals including the The Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies, and Contemporary Accounting Research. He currently serves on the editorial boards of The Accounting Review and Contemporary Accounting Research. Dr. Williams also greatly enjoys teaching, and has won multiple teaching awards and has taught classes on accounting analytics, financial accounting, the role of accounting in business, and taxation.
