John is a Second-Year Ph.D. Student with the Finance Department at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University. His research interests are Investment Banking/M&A, Financial Institutions, and Corporate Finance. Prior to joining the Finance Department, John was a Senior Vice President in Global Consumer Strategy at Citigroup. He led reengineering and growth initiatives across a variety of business lines and geographies. He brings deep practitioner knowledge across Consumer Finance, Strategic Planning, and Capital Allocation Methodologies. Prior to Citigroup, John held a variety of roles in Consulting and Research. He received his B.S. in Engineering from Swarthmore College (2010) and his M.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania (2011).
