Biography

Kelly began her career in 1977 serving the Texas A&M Extension Service Entomology Department. In 1978, she moved from the Bryan-College Station area and held a position within a Certified Public Accountant firm, specializing in accounting services and tax preparation. In 1996, Kelly began work as an Office Manager and Accountant for a small corporation, managing all office functions, formulating and presenting financial and business plans, and devising and implementing advertising and marketing campaigns. Kelly returned to Texas A&M in 2000 where she has held progressively responsible positions, beginning with Financial Management Operations as a Financial Specialist for the Accounts Payable Travel Audit area, and then as a Business Associate, Business Coordinator, and Business Administrator in the Student Organization Finance Center. In March, 2012, Kelly joined the Adam C. Sinn ’00 Department of Finance in Mays Business School and is currently serving as Assistant Department Head.

Kelly is a 2007 Fish Camp namesake, 2008 recipient of the Randy Matson ’67 Association of Former Students Award, 2022 President’s Meritorious Service Award , and 2022 Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement Award.

Kelly’s professional and personal goals have always been to serve Texas A&M University. The school’s unique blends of rich tradition and spirit with intellectual innovation most closely reflect Kelly’s character. Kelly states “It is an honor and privilege to serve this University and others in the Aggie community.”
