Peter is an Assistant Professor in the Adam C. Sinn ’00 Department of Finance at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. He also holds a courtesy joint appointment at the School of Law. Before joining Texas A&M University in 2023, Peter served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at Cornell University, S.C. Johnson College of Business, Dyson School and an Assistant Professor of Economics and Assistant Professor of Law (by courtesy) at the University of Toronto. He was the winner of the University of Toronto Department of Economics Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching in 2017.

His research covers a range of topics within corporate finance and information in financial markets. His recent work focuses on insider trading, top executive labor markets, and investor attention. Peter’s work has been published in academic journals such as Management Science, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Review of Finance, and the Journal of Financial Intermediation. His research papers were covered by The Independent, S&P Global Market Intelligence, National Affairs, the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance, and the Columbia Law School’s Blue Sky Blog, among other outlets.

Peter received his PhD in Finance summa cum laude from Tilburg University, winning the university-wide award for the best PhD dissertation.
