Biography
Dr. Priyanka Dwivedi earned her Ph.D. in Management and Organization from Pennsylvania State University in 2017 and joined the Department of Management at Texas A&M University as an assistant professor the same year. Dr. Dwivedi teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Strategic Management. Her research focuses on strategic leadership, TMT, and corporate governance issues in organizations. She is especially interested in examining the social, psychological, and organizational factors that contribute to the behavior and outcomes of strategic leaders, with a special focus on women executives and leaders. Her research has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Management, and Research Policy. Her research received the Strategic Management Society’s 2021 Sucheta Nadkarni Award for Outstanding Publication on Women Executive Leadership. Most recently, her work has been awarded the prestigious Academy of Management Journal (AMJ) Impact Award (2025). She has also won the Best Conference Paper Award at the Strategic Management Society Conference (India, 2018) and a nomination for the Best Conference Paper Award at the Strategic Management Society Conference (Paris, 2018). She serves on the editorial review board of the Academy of Management Journal and the Journal of Management and reviews extensively for other leading journals in the field. She also holds an MBA from the Smeal College of Business at Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s in Psychology from the University of Delhi, India.
